After System State restore the domain appears to be missing

After performing a System State restore, the server reboots, and you are able to login. When you click on Active Directory Users and Computers you receive an error message stating “You are not connected to a domain or it no longer exists.” When you browse to the server’s shares with \\SERVERNAME, the SYSVOL and NETLOGON shares are missing. If you run DCdiag.exe from the run prompt, it does not pass the FsmoCheck test.
