DNS errors in browsers while using a D-Link router

Some versions support “Advanced DNS” and are set that way by default. This means they automatically route all internet usage through OpenDNS servers which scan for phishing and block various things.

This can cause your internet connection to be slow, time out, or have errors in DNS.

To disable, go to the Internet setup manually and uncheck the box for advanced DNS. Save and reboot the device. You may want to enter your own DNS at that point as it defaults to 0.0.0.0.

You may want to use 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 which is Google DNS.
